FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS

The Allegation: On the 4th of July, 2020, during a reunion celebration in a Dallas, a verbal argument broke out between two men. One of the men walking toward the parking lot and the second man followed him fired 16 shots into his back.

A POLICE SHOOTING

The Allegation: After responding to a 9-1-1 report of domestic violence, two police officers cleared the call, but continued to the residence. Our client was reportedly intoxicated and armed. Accused of aiming at police, he was shot in the torso.

BENJAMIN SPENCER RELEASED

Based on our findings, our client, Benjamin Spencer was release from prison after 34 years of wrongful incarceration. He was a 22-years old and recently married when he was sentenced to Life in prison.

FISH OUT OF WATER

The Allegation: Four postal carriers were delivering mail during the Christmas season. A resident of a nearby home walked toward them shouting in an angry voice. After exchanging words the man suddenly began firing a shotgun at them.

THE EASY TARGET

The Allegation: A 16-year-old girl claimed that she had been sexually molested from ages 5-8, named our client as the perpetrator, and described a series of specific actions that she alleged he had done to her.

ONE WRONG STEP

The Allegation: Police responded to the residence due to a domestic argument that turned physical, to include the man choking the woman unconscious before taking the money in her purse and driving away.

THE "BUT FOR" CLAUSE

The Allegation:  After a tragic overdose death, our client was charged with murder under the new Fentanyl Murder statute, (Texas PC 19.02(b)(4).  The State relied on "last-contact" text messages, alleging our client delivered the lethal dose.

THE LOST KNIFE

The Allegation:  Police arrested our client for murder after his roommate was shot to death during an argument.  Our client claimed the man had attacked him with a knife, but the weapon was nowhere to be found.  Without it, he was looking at life in prison.  

TIME WILL TELL

The Allegation:  A company's CFO arranged an unauthorized $150,000 wire transfer.  The CFO denied any knowledge of the transaction, but records showed that the two-factor authentication had been delivered to, and approved from his phone.  

A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE

The Allegation:  Police arrested our client for Possession and Promotion of Child Pornography.  The State relied on a movie on his laptop that had prohibited images embedded within the video.  These charges were going to truly ruin his life with his wife and two daughters.

WATCHER IN THE WALL

The Allegation:  Our client was freshly divorced and living on her own, but no matter what she did, her ex-husband always seemed to show up at opportune moments.  An unsettling suspicion began to take hold; that he was watching her, and saw everything she did or said.  

A FAMILY PLAN

The Allegation:  A married father with a good career was accused of downloading child pornography.  The evidence was damning:  The State had seized his computer and found a significant number of illicit images cached in a way that had to be intentional.  A long prison sentence was in his future.

URINE TROUBLE NOW

The Allegation:  Our client was a mother fighting to keep her daughter away from her ex-husband, who had a violent history and a lifelong substance abuse problem.  The court had ordered routine urinalysis tests, but the results kept coming back clean.  Something wasn't right.  

THE GHOST BABY

The Allegation:  Our client was the long-suffering wife of a philandering now-retired professional athlete.  She filed for divorce, but crucial to the settlement she would get was proving her husband's infidelities.  He had one secret in particular to be held accountable for.  

TWO-WAY MULES

The Allegation:  Our client was a Mexican gas company.  One of their competitors, which was owned by a prominent Mexican family living in the U.S., was selling gas in Mexico for a price no one else could match.  They were driving everyone out of business, and if we couldn't figure out how they were doing it, our clients were next.
